KILLALA BAY

Enniscrone Golf Club

Duneland drama on the shores of Killala Bay

Enniscrone Golf Club occupies one of the most dramatic dunescapes in Irish golf — a vast, tumbling landscape of towering sandhills on the southern shore of Killala Bay, with the mountains of Mayo rising across the water and the Atlantic stretching beyond.

The course was remodelled by Donald Steel in 2000, transforming it into a genuine championship links that now ranks among the finest in Connacht. The dunes here are among the most spectacular in Ireland — deep, wild, and utterly natural — carving fairways and greens into a landscape that feels entirely untouched. Enniscrone rewards the adventurous golfer who is willing to travel beyond the well-worn Kerry circuit.

"One of the most underrated links courses in Ireland — a hidden gem of the Wild Atlantic Way."
