Arnold Palmer once said he designed the front nine at Tralee, but God designed the back nine. Standing on the clifftop tees, with the Slieve Mish mountains behind you and the Atlantic stretching to the horizon, it is impossible to disagree.
The front nine winds through towering dunes and along the edge of Barrow Strand, demanding imagination and nerve in equal measure. The back nine climbs to the clifftops, where blind shots over ancient ridgelines and views across Tralee Bay reward the brave and punish the careless.
